M.G.M. Brake motors are fundamentally designed as brake motors: perfect engineering and construction combined with a strong and safe brake make these motors very reliable.
BA-BAX SERIES
The most popular brake motor with direct 3-phase AC brake, with fast intervention times and high braking performance. Also available in version with standard DC brake.
The main features of the BA-BAX series are very fast braking, both during release and braking, high braking torque, constant braking time and a very high number of start/stop cycles even in difficult operating conditions. IEC Metric Motors from Frame Sizes 71 to 315 Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC).

- The BAX series includes single-speed brake motors for continuous operation and efficiency class IE2 / IE3 (EU regulation 2019/1781).

BM-BMX SERIES

DOUBLE BRAKE EL. MOTORS BMBM-SERIES
The BMBM series includes three-phase asynchronous brake motors with double DC brakes that operate independently of each other, from frame sizes 63 to 315 and power from 0.08 kW to 132 kW. BMBM series motors are designed for S3 25% intermittent duty (see technical data).
The main feature of the BMBM series is very high reliability in those lifting applications where there are high requirements for safety and silence.
For these reasons, the motors of the BMBM series are particularly suitable for use in stage equipment, TV-cinema studios and theater stages.
The motor brakes in the event of a power failure. Braking is always ensured by a very quick and precise stop, which ensures a safe and immediate stop in the event of an accidental power failure.
The braking torque remains the same in both directions of rotation, and braking takes place without axial slippage of the shaft. The brake components and assembly are designed with special features to be noiseless during stopping.
The manual brake release consists of two levers (one for each brake) to prevent unwanted starting. The brakes can only be released with one hand. Both brakes are powered by independent rectifiers built into the junction box.
EXAMPLES OF USE
Example of use of MGM-motor with heavy-duty brake with special high-speed integral AC-3-phase brake for high braking torques and fast dynamic load braking. The activation time or the brake to turn on and off is significantly shorter than with classic brakes with a rectifier, which enables fast braking of the load.
